Hello and welcome!

Do you juggle multiple roles in life? Like many women, I do! And for a long time, I felt tired, always behind, not quite where I thought I’d be. If I was honest, I was barely keeping up.

Then came a series of unexpected events that led me to what I call a Midlife Timeout.

So much changed at once that I was forced to pause and reevaluate how I was living. Many of us adjust to more change than we anticipate at this middle adulthood stage of life. I finally let go of what I thought my life should be to live into what it was. I rediscovered myself buried underneath roles and responsibilities. I began to pay attention to what gives me strength, found new purpose rooted in God’s purpose for me, and am learning that when I am “more me,” I am of more use to the world.

I learned to Lighten up and find a new rhythm in my life. If you’ve found life changes challenging, I’d love for you to join me on this journey!

Hi, I’m Elaine

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”

– E.E. Cummings

Meet Elaine

Your daily choices make your life

You can try to meet everyone else’s expectations, day after day. Or, you can stop trying so hard to be what you’re not and lean into your own strengths. It’s a different battle: a softer, gentler, listening way.

You might be ready to lighten up, to find new rhythms of being:

  • If you know the feeling of never quite catching up.
  • If you’re tired of being tired.
  • If you want to do more of what you love, not what others expect of you.

Want to try easier instead of harder?

Join me! Hi, I’m Elaine. I’m a wife, an empty nest mama, and more recently, a gramma! I support my mom as a long-distance caregiver. I’m also a writer, a gardener, and a nature lover. And to the depths of my simple little heart, I’m a wanderer and wisdom seeker!

I’d love to pop into your inbox occasionally with my latest musings on life!

May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world, with joy that long edures. May all life’s passing seasons bring the best to you and yours.
